BNK Sum Basket (WKBL) confirmed in their roster 31-year old Romanian ex-international shooting guard Sonia Kim-Ursu (175cm-1993) for upcoming 2024-25 season. She played there last season. She also played for another South Korean team Shinhan Bank S-Birds Anshan.
Kim-Ursu was also a member of the Romanian international program for some years. She played for Romanian Senior National Team between 2012 and 2019 and previously for the Under 20 National Team back in 2013.
Kim-Ursu also represented Romania at the 3x3 Olympic Games in Tokyo (Japan) three years ago.
She is quite experienced player. Kim-Ursu has played also in Korea (Woori Bank), Poland (Wroclaw), Czech Republic (Brno and Nymburk) and Romania (Olimpia, Alba Iulia and Brasov).
Among many awards she played in the final of Korean WKBL in 2022. She was voted to Eurobasket.com Romanian League All-Domestic Players Team back in 2015.
